About

Welcome to our Blog on Gestalt in OD!

We are Tony Fraser and Christina Schuierer and we have applied Gestalt concepts and methods to OD when working with and in organisations for many years – both in the commercial, as well as the public and not-for-profit sector.

Since 2011 we have together been running Gestalt in OD programmes at the Gestalt Centre in London and trained external and internal consultants, change agents and leaders in organisations. Many of them wanted us to share our experience and thinking on Gestalt in OD beyond the training room, which finally led to setting up this blog!

By the Way: Tony is from the UK and lives in Brighton, while Christina is  German and based in Berlin. We two have met in an international Gestalt in OD training programme 15 years ago.

I am a highly experienced Organisation Consultant and Executive Coach who has worked in the private, public and ‘third sector’ with every level from front line managers to Board Directors. I have designed and led organisation change programmes and leadership and team development programmes for some of the world’s most successful organisations.

Having used the Gestalt Approach successfully over the last 30 years, I continue regularly to renew and update my practice.

I am co-author of ‘Gestalt for Managers’ and ‘The Management of Interpersonal Skills Training’.

Christina Schuierer

Christina Schuierer

I am an OD consultant and trainer with 20 years experience of working with public and private organisations worldwide. Over the years, I have helped development organisations and teams to become more successful in designing and implementing projects on economic development, environmental protection and organisational effectiveness in more than 50 countries in Europe, Africa and Asia.

Born and raised in Bavaria but based in Berlin, I also teach on the faculty of International universities and institutes and am responsible for psycho-social staff care at the German headquarters of Doctors without Borders.

I have a lot of curiosity about other people’s life and work experiences, the fields that have shaped their personalities and how they form and maintain which kinds of relationship. What deeply interests me is what “drives” individuals and their needs and wants. My passion is to help people expand their range of choices in life and increase possibilities for contactful experiences.

When I am not working, I love hiking long distance trails in the Italian Alps in summer and freeriding in winter.
